Primary Care Nurse Vacancy

Do you want to reclaim some worklife balance?  Are you interested in developing your skills in a workplace that will value your contributions, encourage and support you to be your best? Then read on……..
Due to retirement, we are looking to recruit another registered nurse to our practice team. We would consider applicants who want full or part time hours. Previous primary care experience would be beneficial but not essential.

We have a diverse and multi-skilled workforce with supportive GP partners and admin team. We work in great premises in the Fishponds area of Bristol and are part of the FABB Primary Care Network with neighbouring practices, Air Balloon Surgery and Fishponds Family Practice.

Happy for informal approaches prior to application, if you would like to come and have a look around or discuss the role please do get in touch.

Main duties of the job

Our nurses provide a range of patient services including chronic disease management, vacs & imms, cervical screening and general treatment room services. We have a good skill mix within our current team and so could develop someone who may not have all of the above. We provide some enhanced access hours and so flexibility and a willingness to work very occasional weekend shifts is essential.

About us

We are a friendly team of eight GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 6 nurses, pharmacists, paramedic and experienced admin team. We strive for a good work/life balance within a supportive environment and to ensure that everyone has a voice within the team. We hold regular nurse team and clinical meetings.

We are a doctor training and teaching practice and also provide placements for student nurses. We will offer a competitive salary which would reflect relevant experience, NHS pension, and a pleasant working environment.

If you would like to apply for this post please contact sarah.monteith@nhs.net for an application pack or to arrange an informal visit, or apply online at:  NHS Jobs website

The closing date is 17th January 2024. Interviews will be Tuesday 30th January at the Practice.
